1. The chorus is singing about the fact that they know Oedipus did kill his father and sleep with his mother and are reinforcing the irony of it.
2. The external conflict is that we know that Oedipus has some how killed his father and slept with his mother and we feel sorry for him yet hold him in contempt.
3. "What! you know something, and will not tell us? You would betray us all and wreck the state?" "Who would not feel as I do? Who could endure your arrogance toward the city?"
4. "So? I charge you, then, abide by the proclamation you have made: From this day forth never speak to these men or to me; You yourself are the pollution of this country."
5. An example of a paradox is the blind "seer" he can "see" mystical things but when you first hear blind seer it doesn't make sense.
6. The chorus is foretelling of how his country will hunt him down for killing his father. They also speak of how he won't realize its coming.
