Why is M.L.K. a great man?

I think that M.L.K. is a great man because he changed the life of millions when he got equal treatment for all people. He was the figurehead for a movement that was perhaps beyond profound. He inspires future people much as Ghandi inspired him. I think M.L.K. has helped tremendously. Without him I couldnt have many of the friends that I do. I probally would know David, Raymond, Chris, or Pamela. Its strange to think of a segregated world. I see it in the lunch room of course but for everything to be like that and it be forced on me would feel really weird. In conclusion M.L.K. is great because without him I would not know many of my good friends today.
